Why did you choose your career/study program?

In my childhood, when I dreamed about my future job I always tried to find something that I enjoyed and get the money at the same time, for this I wanted to work in all. First I wanted to be an engineer like my father, after I wanted to be a vet because I like animals and then I wanted to be a private detective and like this I wanted to be many things.

When I grew up I was really scared of the PSU because I didn´t know what study yet so I began to investigate the different career options, I like the scientist career so I had 3 options to choose: First Biochemistry , Second Chemistry and Pharmacy and the last one Medicine. 

Before going to take the test, I made a decision of not going to study Medicine because it was what my mother wanted me to do and I didn´t believe that I could get the necessary scored to study this, also I didn´t study Biochemistry principally for the employability so I went convinced to get the necessary scored for study Chemistry and Pharmacy in a good university, this because I thought that when I work, I will love my job and I will get a lot of money.

When I went for the first time to the university, I was very nervous because I am very shy but luckily I found good friends fast, the university was mostly difficult than I thought and also stress full but the face of happiness of my mother when she says that his son studies at Universidad de Chile, made me to work harder to stay in the university.

Finally I want to share something that my mother always says to me, she says when you find a job that you like, you don´t go to work , you go to do what you like, for this I want to get up in the morning to go to do what I like, I don´t want to work as an obligation, I want to work because I enjoy it and I feel good with myself.
